Thanks for visiting! At Verity’s Maths Place, I offer bespoke Maths tuition for students aged between 10 and 16. Within this site, you’ll hopefully find some very useful stuff to help your child navigate the world of Mathematics at school and find out more about my services.

Do you often say “They do Maths differently nowadays!”? Well things do move on, sometimes at a pace it’s difficult to keep up with but that’s why I’m here, to help your child with their maths and close the gap between classroom learning and one to one tutoring.

How do I help?

In plain English, I bridge the gaps in maths that don't always get taught in schools, or more accurately it's down to the way mathematics is taught in some schools. Teachers and schools are great but curriculum pressures and the ability to focus in with some some students isn't always possible, which is where I come in. 

Get Results!

For lifelong learning in any subject it's all about building confidence in children so that it becomes a "can do" approach rather than dreading a subject and Maths can often have that fear factor. 

By breaking down complicated topics into bite sized and understandable pieces we build confidence and start seeing results which in turn builds even more confidence and get's results. Pupils who once hated maths start to enjoy it and it can even become a favourite subject and with maths being a vital life skill it's really important that children enjoy the subject and ultimately get results.
