Henry is competent and easy to work
with, very friendly. Explained clearly
and was patient with me not
understanding things or having to think
for a while. Never got the impression
he thought I was stupid.

I started off with a U in maths, I’m now getting passes in my maths and that is all thanks to Verity and her amazing communication and teaching skills!

I’m so much more confident when doing maths in comparison to how I was before Verity began to tutor me.

Verity has taught me better than any maths teacher I’ve had. I started off as dreading maths and now I genuinely get excited for maths exams.

Physics Homework Help session with Henry - it was really helpful and honestly a bit of a game-changer for me.

I’ve always been pretty anxious about physics, especially since I’ve had some not-so-great teachers in the past.

But Henry explained things in a way that made so much more sense - better than most of my previous teachers,
which was amazing. It really helped me build confidence, especially with the tricky bits I’ve struggled with before.

On top of helping me with Physics, Henry helped me with maths too! I finally figured out a better way to tackle percentage increases, which has been a pain point for me for years.

It was such a relief to have someone close to my age to talk things through with. It made the whole experience comfortable and not intimidating at all. I didn’t feel stupid asking questions, which was a big plus.

[...]And we played a game during the session, which was really fun! It made the whole thing feel less like a chore and more enjoyable.

We were really impressed with Henry. He came across as mature and approachable, and was able to get straight into the session with Libby even though they hadn’t met before.

When they got through the work on Physics Libby wanted to cover, rather than stopping, he had questions prepared to go over and further reinforce the work they had been doing.

He gave Libby a much needed boost in confidence and we would definitely recommend him.

Verity has been a breath of fresh air. The structure she had set up for my son was geared towards his way of thinking and not a standard one fits all.

My son found it really useful and enjoyed the sessions. He understood what he had to do and we got feedback after every session so we knew what the strengths and weaknesses were.

A very good, knowledgeable lady who takes into account all angles of the pupil. If I had another situation where my son needed support, I would definitely call Verity!

The sessions with Verity are a safe place to ask questions without feeling silly. I really feel this has helped grow my daughter's confidence.

Both of my children have dyslexia so Verity is careful to make sure they are understanding the questions and will also explain how else the same questions may be worded.

Thank you for your help and support Verity.

Our daughter was struggling and below average ability, and within a year she was in the top set and top of her class.

A few years on and her expected grade is 9 and she’s been asked to consider Further Maths as an additional GCSE.

Huge thanks again for being so amazing Verity, couldn’t wish for a better tutor.

I can't tell you how much you've helped him, not just gaining confidence in maths, but gaining confidence generally throughout his school work.

He really doubted his abilities in all subjects before you took him on and now he's doing amazingly well, because he believes he can do it - so thank you so much for giving him that confidence.

Verity has been tutoring my daughter for over a year now. Holly has not only come on leaps and bounds but she actually loves maths now. Verity has been an absolute godsend and I am so thankful I found her.

She is so patient, understanding, trustworthy and reliable. We will continue to have Verity support Holly through her GCSE’s. She has built up a wonderful relationship with my daughter and Holly looks forward to her coming.

Holly did really well in her Maths tests, even her teacher commented.

She was ten marks above the tests that she did before you started coming round and was on the higher end of the class this time so is really pleased!

You are definitely making a difference and so we are grateful for that. Thank you!

Verity has been tutoring my son for more than a year now. She is very calm and patient and has helped him progress massively, giving him more confidence and enjoyment in a previously disliked subject.

Verity was brilliant and helped my daughter progress in maths.

She took things at my daughter’s pace and my daughter now loves maths.

Verity is a star tutor!

She has the skills and patience to teach kids.

My daughter looks forward to her lessons each week.

I thoroughly recommend Verity’s Maths Place. Verity supported my oldest to pass her GCSE and my youngest is on track to pass too, thanks to Verity’s hard work and determination.

Verity celebrates achievements with students and genuinely cares about their progress and self-confidence.

She is able to pitch sessions to meet individual needs and uses fun resources.

She is great at communicating and is priced very reasonably too.

She has transformed me from a below average student in a Fourth Set class to a student who has achieved an A+ (Grade 8) in Maths and an A (Grade 7) in Further Maths.

She’s consistently given me the confidence to prove to myself and others that I can achieve great things.

Tell Verity this exactly: she is an absolute godsend, the paper was VERY hard for foundation based on previous ones but the things we did last night were 5 markers!

Thanks for getting my daughter out of her mood on Saturday!

I asked how her lesson was and she happily said: “Fun!”

Then she happily came out for the day, without moaning!
