By using our site you accept these terms

By using our site, you confirm that you accept these terms of use and that you agree to comply with them.

If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our site.

We recommend that you print a copy of these terms for future reference.

Age restrictions and parental responsibility

If you are under 18 years of age, you confirm that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use this site and that they have reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.

Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their child's use of our site and platform. By allowing your child to use our site, you accept these terms on their behalf and you are responsible for their actions.

All communication regarding tutoring arrangements, bookings, payments, and administrative matters must be conducted with the parent/guardian.

Direct communication with students under 18 should relate solely to educational content and session delivery. If we become aware of a safeguarding concern arising from use of this website, we will act in line with our safeguarding responsibilities and may report the concern to the relevant authorities.

There are other terms that may apply to you

These terms of use refer to the following additional terms, which also apply to your use of our site:

  • Our Privacy Policy, which sets out information about the data we collect and how we process it.

  • Our Cookie Policy, which sets out information about the cookies on our site.

  • Our Tutoring Terms and Conditions, which apply to the provision of our tutoring services to you.

We may make changes to these terms

We amend these terms from time to time. Every time you wish to use our site, please check these terms to ensure you understand the terms that apply at that time.

We may make changes to our site

We may update and change our site from time to time to reflect changes to our services, our users' needs and our business priorities.

We may suspend or withdraw our site

Our site is made available free of charge.

We do not guarantee that our site, or any content on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted. We may suspend or withdraw or restrict the availability of all or any part of our site for business and operational reasons. We will try to give you reasonable notice of any suspension or withdrawal.

You are also responsible for ensuring that all persons who access our site through your internet connection are aware of these terms of use and other applicable terms and conditions, and that they comply with them.

You must keep your account details safe

If you choose, or you are provided with, a user identification code, password or any other piece of information as part of our security procedures, or to enable you to purchase services from us, you must treat such information as confidential. You must not disclose it to any third party.

We have the right to disable any user identification code or password, whether chosen by you or allocated by us, at any time, if in our reasonable opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these terms of use.

If you know or suspect that anyone other than you knows your user identification code or password, you must promptly notify us at info@veritysmathsplace.co.uk.

Platform access

Where we provide you with access to our online tutoring platform or learning portal (the "Platform"), the following additional terms apply:

  • Access to the Platform is granted solely for the purpose of receiving tutoring services that you have purchased from us.

  • Your access credentials are personal to you and must not be shared with any other person.

  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your Platform access if you breach these terms or our Tutoring Terms and Conditions.

To access the Platform, you will need a compatible device — such as a computer, tablet, or smartphone — and an up-to-date web browser. We recommend using a current version of a major browser such as Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge.

If you take part in online tutoring sessions, you will also need:

  • A reliable internet connection with sufficient speed to support live video calls.

  • A working camera and microphone.

  • Any specific software or applications we notify you about in advance.

You are responsible for ensuring your equipment meets these requirements. We are not liable for any inability to access tutoring sessions or materials due to inadequate equipment or internet connectivity on your part.

We recommend testing your connection and equipment before your first online session. If you use a separate online tutoring or video platform, please also check that provider's own technical requirements.

While we use reasonable efforts to ensure the Platform is available, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Platform may be unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance (we will provide advance notice where possible).

  • Technical issues beyond our control.

  • Third-party service provider outages.

  • Security incidents requiring temporary suspension.

If technical issues prevent a scheduled tutoring session from taking place, we will work with you to reschedule in accordance with our Tutoring Terms and Conditions. We are not liable for any indirect losses caused by Platform unavailability.

Prohibited uses of the Platform

You must not use the Platform to:

  • Harass, abuse, or harm others.

  • Share inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content.

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data.

  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the Platform.

  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Platform.

  • Circumvent any security features or access controls.

Breach of these provisions may result in immediate termination of your Platform access and your tutoring arrangement, without refund.
